Brand SPARK: a simple method of measuring the “standout-edness” of your brand

Let’s start with a quick story.

My iPhone battery was at 8% — taunting me with the very real threat of dying before I could scan my Starbucks card. 😣 So I decided to walk without the usual podcast queue or musical beat to keep me in step — a rarity.

And then something happened…

A thought popped into my brain — a delightfully unexpected new idea.

🧠 “S P A R K”

These four letters twisted around in my brain as I subjected them to a perfunctory battery of tests to make sure they were worthy.

Satisfied, I thought:

🤔 “Nice work, brain. I like it.”

After spending most of the morning thinking about (and researching) what makes for a standout brand, my brain came up with SPARK —a simplified checklist of sorts…
